It’s time to declare your income tax again, as normal every year, we need to declare our yearly income and calculate tax need to pay to government or maybe need to take back income tax that over paid for year 2007. Dateline for Individual who work for private or public employer, is 30 April 2008.
What do you mean by Income? For Individual, the income of an employee from an employment includes wages, salary, remuneration, leave pay, fee, commission, bonus, gratuity, perquisite, or allowance (whether such items are paid in money or otherwise) in respect of having or exercising the employment.

Construction work abandoned
I was actually quite shock this morning when I went to see my new house renovation progress. As there is no one there working? I called then vendor, he told me that he get caught in an accident since the first day of wiring work in place and need to repair his car first to continue his work.
He will be in for the work by this coming Monday. I think it’s ok if he continues to work on Monday. But need to really arrange to the paint the house because I am painting myself. In order to make it finish before the kitchen cabinet in place as the kitchen cabinet work started after the design canfirm, I need to really come with the schedule for the painting and also timeline for the wiring work.
He committed that he will finish the work on next Wednesday, it will take another 2 days for the painting if possible. I think I will paint it during weekend and also together with the cleaning work. After that kitchen installation will take place, following by furniture move in.
Hope can make it by end of April or I will homeless. :)

I lost my PDA Phone’s stylus
I am having my PDA phone for less than 2 months. This morning, when I want to write some SMS, I realized that my stylus is actually missing. Damn it. I cannot believe it is missing.
I searching around at my room and never found it, as I remember it still with the phone last night because I used it to write some SMS before went to IKEA for shopping.
Most properly it dropped when I was paying at the cashier, because that was a call from friend.
No choice lo, needs to spend for the stylus as I need it to write SMS. I am going for a shopping again tonight for the stylus at digital mall.

Wiring work in place
Yesterday was first day of renovation, I went and waited for the wiring guy to install extra light and power points. After a confirmation with the wiring man, they started the work by 10:30am.
I actually witnessed how they do the work. My heart is kind of hurt when see them hack my house’s wall. The hacking hole is quite deep, for the air-con piping. Most of the important thing will be the patching part, they need to fill back the hacking. It takes some skill when come to covering part. It needs that person to fill it with care.

Review my posts
I have been actively blog for the past 1 year, and I posted for 224 posts for this blog in total. This month will be the record breaking month for total post in 1 month as it already equal with 31 posts, the highest you can find in September and December 2007.
I think read back is quite interesting and I found out some interesting post that actually remind me on things happen in my life, December 2007, I posted a post name Why is technology important? This is actually a post dedicated to IT idiots and always scolds IT people stupid. In fact, technologies are important in our daily activities.
After the review, I realize that October 2007 and this month, I posted a post with same title Internet line slow vs Internet line slow. This is actually 2 repeat title, just because I never check back the whether having the same name in posts. That’s mean that Internet line slow is a common problem in Malaysia.
I still not yet complete with my compilation of Bangkok trip since I am back from Bangkok!! So, I think next thing to post will be Bangkok Trip. I hope the information that I post soon will be a reference for your all if any of you consider Bangkok as your next trip location.

Ineffective employee
In your life, you might met some Ineffective employee which under you or maybe work together with you. They will cause you to work more and need to help them to finish their project, and at the same time you have to finish yours. This is some of the example I got it from my experience.
Ineffective employees are always missing the dateline and ask you to help in their unfinished work. End up you need to explain why it delayed. However they will never treat it like their fault and complaint about the workload or timeline that given is short. But they never willing to work extra hours to meet the dateline.
No discipline in all area makes that person ineffective in their work. Always went back home earlier, always late, always take medical Leave, and always take emergency leave.
These are the habits that make you ineffective employee. Imagine if you hire some one who always take emergency leave and Medical leave, how can he catch up with the project's movement?
So, be careful when want to hire some one under you. Make sure they are effetive enough in their work.

Moving house preparation
Previously I posted a post name House preparation I stated that we will start renovation work by last week, but it actually delayed to this week. I just went to do some inspection for my new house and verify defect list repair, and I got most of the major defects are done, and I can ask my own contractor come in for the renovation work, I think should be by this Wednesday.
Already asked the wiring counter part and they commit that they will finish the work between a weeks, means that they will get the wiring work done by next Wednesday 2nd April. It will take 2 weeks for kitchen cabinet in place as we already decide with the kitchen cabinet design. So, we still have 1 week time to re paint our house, I think next week we will start to paint our house. And get ready for the kitchen cabinet to be installed after the painting.
Moving house will be started after the kitchen cabinet ready, I think should be around 14th April. Then furniture will be moving in after the grill installed, should be around 19th April. So, according to the schedule stated, we can move to new house by end of April.
Hope every thing can go smooth and on time for the moving.

Are you only working for the money?
I get this statement interesting, lots of people trying to score good in their exam in order to get more stable job and trying to make more money when come to work. Since secondary school, people are aiming to get high score in exam and apply for more professional work like doctor, lawyer, accountant and engineer.
I would like to make comment on this as I found some of the doctor are not really understand the responsibility of being doctor, this is what I see from nowadays people attitude. If you score well in your exam, means that you can be a good doctor? Definitely no. Do you think you can be a good doctor with a highest score in STPM? Definitely no.
Nowadays Doctors are lacking of caring and passion about their work, you are a doctor who receive higher pay because of your professional advice is because you are good in exam and paid for the certificate. When come to patience, and caring you might not in the rank yet. Many doctors think that they deserve that kind of pay because they paid more when they studied to become doctor. This is a wrong mindset, because you are trusted for your service and you must try not to disappoint your client in return.
Doctor must improve your skill and knowledge from day to day, as I see from some cases doctor are usually guessing from the symptom of the patient. And trying from the medication to identify the patient illness, this is not right. When we ask about details, doctor will come back to us with the jargon that we never heard about that, that’s what you suppose to do?
Don’t we have a proper inspection rather than trying from medicine? We are consumer got no right to know what is actually given for my illness? I hope hospital can transparent the procedure and also treatment to the patient, so they can learn from what is actually gone wrong with they health.

Penang Island Hospital Services Sucks
Last weekend, my mom was admitted to Island Hospital for medical treatment. My mom needs to move to isolation room just because according to the doctor, the virus can be spread by air after some diagnose done. We were told that my mom needs to move to the special room, but no exact time informed.
We were there waiting for the whole day for the notice and they never come back with the time, so we thought that they will never do the switching again. So we went out for dinner. When we returned to the hospital, they have actually switched my mom to the special room.
My mom was sleeping when they tried to wake here up. She was blur and shocked. They just out of sudden tell her that she has to move to the special isolation room. And they actually asked my mom to walk herself. My mom forgot to pack her things cos everything was in hurry. Some of them actually make fun of her saying that my mom has got lots of stuffs to pack.
When we were back from dinner, I complained to the sister in charge there that the services provided by Island hospital sucks and improvement strongly needed on the switching room procedure and also nurses' attitude.
We've actually logged a complaint for this case, and the doctor get back to me and I stated that no notice from him. Yes, it's true that he did explain to us about switching room. But actually I am focus on the incident that happened at night, nurses' attitude were really bad and some of the nurses actually did not pay enough patience to patients.
I hope that they can improve their service as soon as possible and come back to me when the improvement plan and explain to me what they plan to improve in return, not to argue with the words that I stated.

I need a break
Weekend was very busy with rushed back to see my mom, and back to KL for new house preparation. I am end up sick today and taking my first MC in this company. This proven that I need a rest as well. My boss will get shock with my MC as this is my first MC under him, he might suspect that I am looking for a new job. hehehe...
I been busy with new project in company and get it to be ready by May or June. I am not too sure whether I am fit for work tomorrow, I feel great to have a break after a busy weekend. After all, I need to get back to work by tomorrow to make sure all the thing is on schedule.
Next week is going to be busier as the house renovation work start soon. So, I need more rest from recover and fully fit in work and my own things.

Internet line slow
Internet line slow seems like a common problem for Malaysian as maybe we are so depending on one provider in broadband service. Nowadays is getting worst with the respond time really lack, some online transaction will just go time out after the requesting time exceed the limits.
What service provider can do to enhance the surfing speed? Maybe this question can prompt to our main broadband provider Telekom. It seems that already few years in the business, but still giving lots of problem in return. Malaysia are so called high technology country but still depending on 2MB speed broadband? I am not sure is this healthy in technology development?
Really hope Telekom can speed up on Broadband speed in order to catch up with other country’s development.

8th march 2008, big changes in election already took place in Malaysian’s mind and give hope to Malaysia about the changes will take impact in economy and development in Malaysia. Yesterday news make Malaysia even surprise with the big change in small Cabinet.
Yesterday, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi unveiled a new small Cabinet, dropped senior ministers and brought in 50% new faces, with 16 of the 32 ministers being newcomers. That will be news of the week, and people are looking for the changes take place.
I hope with new faces and new energy in cabinet, Malaysia can moving forward in economy and development. Will see what will happen in the next few years.

Nowadays I seldom go to bank for all kind of transaction, it’s because I already get use to internet banking. I sign up for bank internet banking and make the payment online. And it’s very convenience and no hustle. Online payment can be make anywhere with a click with web browser.
Ever wonder why people are still not trust in internet banking, I think it’s quite save for the transaction as long as you keep the password yourself and not posted your password thru messenger and don’t dispose to other people as this is password.
My uncle used to tell me that actually he don’t really trust in bank about the transaction and not even trust on technology. Old generation really need to learn and accept the changes in the world in order to catch up with the aggressive tech world. Ever wonder why people are still not trust in internet banking, I think it’s quite save for the transaction as long as you keep the password yourself and not posted your password thru messenger and don’t dispose to other people as this is password.
My uncle used to tell me that actually he don’t really trust in bank about the transaction and not even trust on technology. Until today, he don’t even have ATM card, as he believe that with ATM card, his money is not safe to keep in bank. I think just because he is oldies people with traditional thinking. So, he still enjoy queue up for the cash out with bank book.
I can really say that internet banking is quite safe with latest technology. Old generation really need to learn and accept the changes in the world in order to catch up with the aggressive tech world. Since Internet age are taking over the tranditional way of daily activities, I think people need to accept changes.

Defect list repair
Since last month I was talking about defects list inspection and repair. Ok, let have some clear define in that. I bought a condominium in PJ, which already completed by Jan 2008. Once we got a letter for key collection, it’s actually near Chinese New Year. I am staying at Kedah, I went back to Kedah for Chinese New Year celebration.
Then we got the key by 20 February 2008 and directly we go and finish our inspection for defects. What is actually inspected, main constructor is less resource to make sure 100% perfect on the property built. So, It will finish with some defects that left by main constructor like windows not able to lock properly, door crack and so on. After inspection, you can fill in the form that ready by management office for defect list. After submit, they committed to finish the repair by 28 working days. The process is slow in the sense of they mostly will left out some defects repair.
We submitted our defects list by 25th February 2008. It will be finish by next week. Their rules stated that before defect repaired, they not allow our own constructor come in for house renovation. So, we will only start to build our kitchen cabinet by next week and also wiring for the extra points.
We went to check the defect list repair again this morning, and they stated the inspection and repair already done, but it's actually undone. So, will take another 2 days to finish the work. Hope thay can speed up the progress, and I can start my minor renovation next week.

Kitchen Cabinet Design
Just went to meet cabinet designer, he actually come out with the design for the cabinet. First touch up is look nice, I quite like the designer as he consult in all area of concern for my kitchen build up and give the necessary advice on how to make it useful and nice looking kitchen.
This kitchen cabinet designer is using hand drawing for the design, and come with the measurement for the layout. I think I will follow what ever he advice and look forward for the outcome.

Keep Promise Please
Have you ever tried to believe in someone, but that person keep disappointing you with millions of excuse on hand. I think who ever have experience this before will know how I feel. Maybe you can sound like “Why you so serious? It’s just small matter!” Ok, means that you cannot handle big matter either.
Just giving you one example, you might get some idea on how it looks like. A neighbour of you who have a dog promises you to never let his dog shitting again in front of your house. The next day, you saw dog’s shit left at the favorite spot, immediately you call him for explain. He reflected that He will never do again.
1 week later, the incident happens again. You again talk to him with the same thing. And he promise not to repeat again.. The thing happens continuously for 3 months. What you feel? Will you call a police for that? Will you kill the dog when your neighbor not around?
I think every one have their patience limit. So, I hope everyone who sees this post can keep learning and improving on their witness for not hitting the limit.

RAM for sale
I am selling my notebook's RAM out, been keeping for few month in my drawer. I am thinking of selling it out since I already keep but not using. I am searching for the reasonable price to sell 2 of it. There are 2 256 MB RAM I wish to sell it out.

PDA phone giving me problem
My PDA phone that I got it from my friend is actually not stable and giving me some unknown problem.
When there are some incoming calls with unknown caller, this will hang with noise come out. And I need to restart the PDA phone by using stylus pen to hit the soft reset button. My friend who is using the same model with mine, actually tells me that there are lots of defect for this device. I am quite shock with the feedback, I think this is not because of the software issue, most common will be hardware issues.
I never give up with trying to solve this problem, already try to hard resetting the device, but still the problem happens. I am seeking for the permanent solution for the problem. Since there is no permanent solution from the handphone shop itself.
Any solution will solve this matter, would really appreciated.

Dream to Europe
My friend is going to Europe for his honey moon, I am wondering when can I go to Europe. I have been dreaming of the trip since started to work 6 years ago. But still struggling to find times and money for that. Envy my friend, as he actually born from a better family with family business.
Last year, I took the step to settle down in my life and bought a house for myself with my girl friend, many of my friends told me that I will never make it in the short future. But who knows, I maybe able to make one in next 2 years for my honey moon.

House preparation
This week on wards is going to be very busy for me for house preparation, main developer will finish their defects repair and I need to call in constractors to begin their work on preparing the wiring points for lights, fans and power.
Arrangement for kitchen cabinet will take place as well, as I plan to renovate my kitchen with only cabinet in place. Then need to repaint the house’s wall and last part will be furniture and also electrical take part in my house and I will move in by end of April.
Thinking of organize some house warming after settle down all the things. That’s will be May. Sorry for not free for blogging if I cannot free my time for that.
I will try to blog more about my house moving situation in the blog, keep in touch.

HOPE
It is already the 4th day after election, but the wave of change has just begun. Penang's new government has announced to waive all summonses issued before 11th March 2008. Ofcos, waiving summonses is not the only thing we expect, we expect more policies to improve the state's economy, to develop a better greenery environment and many more.
People used to say that Malaysians are typically very "shy" in giving opposite opinions, but this time we sure deny all these sayings. A healthy country definitely needs stronger opposition voices to ensure the ruling party is performing.
Well, still, we should stay optimistic, and believe in the country. HOPE is what we have, and we do HOPE for a better Malaysia.

Revision control freeware
I am looking for a freeware which will install at server side to control file’s version. Any software will do this for me. My company is not a IT company, they don’t really understand about why we need version control for files in the server.
For those who work in development team, may understand my view of the version control. If you are having small team which only content 2 programmer, you might not having file version problem as they can work closely to resolve this problem.
As my team is growing bigger and I need to keep track on their source code and version. I need to use revision control software to do so. Any one using please send me some comment on this.

Windows XP Service Pack 3 RS2
Windows XP Service Pack 3 is currently in development, Microsoft already release the beta version which is Windows XP Service Pack 3 Release Candidate 2.
Window XP service pack 3 fixes a range of bugs and adds new features to Windows XP.
From Microsoft web site, they stated that there are 2 new features will be provided in Service Pack 3. I losted at below for 2 new features:
1. Black Hole Router Detection Windows
2. Network Access Protection (NAP).
File size for service pack 3 is 315.2 MB for English version. Please click on the link to download Service pack 3. I think most of the XP users are looking forward for the new service pack to release. It has been announce last year that Service pack 3 will be release in first quarter of 2008. Big changes in election
Most of you know that Malaysia just finish their general election. There are lots of changes from the result of general election. Opposition is winning big in this election, this show that Malaysia is ready to take change for their country.
The result is quite shock by opposition as they won 5 states including Selangor, Kedah, Perak and Penang. People are hoping party opposition can do something to improve Malaysia in all area, but I think they need some times to reorganize back what is already left by government.
People are not influence by some sort of threaten, they are accept changes. This is going to be a good move for Malaysia. I hope Malaysia can move on and let the new generation feel safe with the country.

Election
Tomorrow will be general election day for Malaysia, I think tonight will be jam again for North South Highway as people are heading back to their hometown for Voting.
I will go back together to my hometown as well tomorrow morning with my best friend, just to avoid the traffic jam. This year is going to be different to me as this is my first time to vote for my home. I need to go thru lots of consideration to vote for the capable leader. Party with majority vote will win the election.
Cyber war already started for sometimes to get people vote of them, parties are trying to get people trust and vote for them.
I hope Malaysia’s coming election winner can improve all issues in Malaysia in order to bring Malaysia to next level in the global ranking. This is what people want to see.

Privacy
I received a call from Airasia about buying some insurance offered by their company. At first, I am quite ok with their briefing. When come to the last part, I am quite shock with their statement said: “ if you agree with the insurance, we will fax you the plan and we will subscribe for you, therefore we already have your info about credit card and personal details. “
Wow!!! They can keep my credit card info and just submit the form for me without my signature and anything????!!! So, I questioned the operator back about privacy broken issue. What if your company just gives out my info to other company? How can your company keeping my credit card info. Is this legal?
Until today, I still don’t understand why company can keep our credit card info and this is not right. I thought we only use bank to verify all the info. And company should not keep our info at the first hand. Then this will be very dangerous for people like me, always like to use online service. Sigh~~~

Underpaying staff
I think this is the most common thing happen in any firms. And among your friends, you might find lots of them, and not to be surprise that I am one of them.
Lots of companies are trying to invest in Malaysia, and setup some company to function in Malaysia. I got friends from UK, and he told me that Malaysia is actually a good place to setup company, because people are so dedicated to the work. They never argue with the policy and get use to the current situation and most of them are even underpay.
This is true, I gone thru lots of interview. And once the interviewer would like to hire you, they will try to pull down your salary to the minimum of the budget given. What is actually their purpose? For me, I take people base on their experience and their attitude. I managed to hire some staff that really dedicated to the work, just because I am giving them honestly in pay. Company is never question about my judgment when come to give pay to my hire maybe just because they dedicated to work in return.
But how many companies will think the same like me? I think by far the majority of employers are honest and scrupulous, so they will just pay for the minimum pay of the budget given. Sadly I am one of the underpay staff as my boss is acting the same like majority employers that like to giving out minimum pay against budget given.
I hope employers need to recalculate back some important staff’s pay in order to make them stay long in their company.

Last weekend was my busier weekend for household shopping. After 2 days of shopping, we managed to grab some lamp and decoration items for my home. We also get some quotation about curtains, and need to finalize which windows to go for expensive curtain and which window should go for cheap one.
