Underpaying staff

I think this is the most common thing happen in any firms. And among your friends, you might find lots of them, and not to be surprise that I am one of them.

Lots of companies are trying to invest in Malaysia, and setup some company to function in Malaysia. I got friends from UK, and he told me that Malaysia is actually a good place to setup company, because people are so dedicated to the work. They never argue with the policy and get use to the current situation and most of them are even underpay.

This is true, I gone thru lots of interview. And once the interviewer would like to hire you, they will try to pull down your salary to the minimum of the budget given. What is actually their purpose? For me, I take people base on their experience and their attitude. I managed to hire some staff that really dedicated to the work, just because I am giving them honestly in pay. Company is never question about my judgment when come to give pay to my hire maybe just because they dedicated to work in return.

But how many companies will think the same like me? I think by far the majority of employers are honest and scrupulous, so they will just pay for the minimum pay of the budget given. Sadly I am one of the underpay staff as my boss is acting the same like majority employers that like to giving out minimum pay against budget given.

I hope employers need to recalculate back some important staff’s pay in order to make them stay long in their company.
