Bus crashed again

Two passengers were killed and 17 others seriously injured when an express bus heading from Genting Highland towards the city plunged into a 10m-deep ravine along the Karak Highway yesterday. In the 6.30pm incident, the driver of the Genting Express bus crashed into a divider at the 25th kilometer of the highway.

The statement stated that it is believed that the 47-year-old driver lost control of the vehicle, and veered left, in heavy rain. Nowadays bus crashes has become a normal scene and always happen to buses that travel long at highway. I got lots of bad experience with bus traveling, some bus driver are really not friendly and not focus when driving.

They will open up mirror and smoke while driving, this is a bad habit. Some drivers are like to speeding and complain about those who drive slowly in front of them. Government comes out with a statement and advice bus passenger to belt up while on the road. Not a bad idea but I think the most important thing to look into it is driver and also the bus condition because some bus are really old and not maintaining well.

This make me scared of taking bus when going back to my hometown as well. Since flight fares are decrease from day to day I think people will choose flight instead of bus.

Crimes in Malaysia

Snatch theft is the crime that has grabbed the attention of Malaysians lately.
Everyday, the media doesn't fail to report on yet another snatch theft crime committed.

I just witnessed once last night when went to have dinner at stall at Taman Bahagia. I was not able to help when that happens, just because it’s happening too far from my stand place.

I just find out that they come with a plan, I think they should well known with the place, and also with the equipment needed. Some one is waiting with bike, while his partner was jump down to snatch the wallet.

Even though this crime isn't anything new to this country but the recent spate of snatch thefts throughout has increased in an alarming rate.

We, the public at large are feeling victimized as well, as we live in fear of falling victims to these criminals every time they are out in public.

Is this to be a Malaysian culture? Is this what we want in our country?

And back to last week Tuesday, when I got to know my mom is robed by some Indian guys who claim they are come to correct charity. And my mom is too generous and trying to donate some. But end up it’s come into my house and take all the properties from my house. Thank god my mother never gets hurt.

Last Thursday (16 august), another crime happened just in front of my house. Victim is my housemate. My housemate always takes bus when coming back from work. There are one guys waiting for her and stop her from walking back with a knife and ask her to hand over the wallet.

Do Malaysia really a dream home for us? Do Malaysia is a place that really safe to stay?
We dream of a Malaysia that is excellent, glorious and distinctive. May that dream be a reality?

I hope this post will become guides for public to really aware on the crime that happen from day to day. Share with me if there are more types you witness before.

Protest held against AirAsia

I just came across this article on thestar.com.my, with title Protest held against AirAsia. It was reported that the airport facilities provided by LCCT are not good enough for the disabled and wheelchair-bound members.

I’ve been a fan of the low fare flights provided by AirAsia ever since they launched. I’d fly with AirAsia for a few vacations every year. And I’m sorry that I’ve never pay attention to the facilities that is provided for the disabled people.

When I try to recall my memories, I realize that it is true that LCCT doesn’t provide special assistance to the disabled ones for boarding. And they do not incorporate aerobridges, which allow easier access for passengers to board planes. Passengers are instead required to walk up a flight of boarding stairs, which is a daunting task for the disabled person.

But should AirAsia be blamed? Or should it be the LCCT? Maybe both.

I think what we (the Government) really have to do is to look into the welfare of the disabled ones as we are still looking forward to achieving Wawasan 2020. We must be able to take care of every community in our country before we actually claim ourselves as the "Developed Country".

Transformers

“Wow!! That’s what we call special effects.” That’s the first line that came across my mind when I was enjoying Transformers (my last movie was Fantastic 4 (which was quite a disaster), I guess that’s one of the factors that made me think that Transformers is really cool!! I know, I know, it is not fair to compare Transformers with Fantastic 4 (I mean it is not fair to Transformers. LOL)).

As I don’t recall much of the Transformers cartoons or comics, that make me easier to take the movie as it is, I guess. Though the film is a bit too sensational (well, you know, it is still Hollywood after all), especially the sentiment plot between Bumblebee and Ben; and all the sacrifices, but well, I still enjoy the movie very much. :)

I like the part where the Autobots transform into vehicles, and how they flip-flop and transform back into their original forms. I like the part where the Sensitive BumbleBee got upset and transform into a gorgeous Camaro. I like it when Barricade transform into a Saleen 5281 Mustang police car.

Autobots Rule!!!
