Penang Island Hospital Services Sucks

Last weekend, my mom was admitted to Island Hospital for medical treatment. My mom needs to move to isolation room just because according to the doctor, the virus can be spread by air after some diagnose done. We were told that my mom needs to move to the special room, but no exact time informed.

We were there waiting for the whole day for the notice and they never come back with the time, so we thought that they will never do the switching again. So we went out for dinner. When we returned to the hospital, they have actually switched my mom to the special room.

My mom was sleeping when they tried to wake here up. She was blur and shocked. They just out of sudden tell her that she has to move to the special isolation room. And they actually asked my mom to walk herself. My mom forgot to pack her things cos everything was in hurry. Some of them actually make fun of her saying that my mom has got lots of stuffs to pack.

When we were back from dinner, I complained to the sister in charge there that the services provided by Island hospital sucks and improvement strongly needed on the switching room procedure and also nurses' attitude.

We've actually logged a complaint for this case, and the doctor get back to me and I stated that no notice from him. Yes, it's true that he did explain to us about switching room. But actually I am focus on the incident that happened at night, nurses' attitude were really bad and some of the nurses actually did not pay enough patience to patients.

I hope that they can improve their service as soon as possible and come back to me when the improvement plan and explain to me what they plan to improve in return, not to argue with the words that I stated.
