Why is technology important?

I would like to share this with some technology idiots, just because they live in their own world. They hate technologies; they just simply cannot accept the fact that technology is easing their daily activities. They still think that technologies bring them difficulties in learning new things. Surprisingly, my boss is one of them.

Technologies have been completely integrated into our daily living, such as TV, hand phone, Personal Computer, Projector and etc. All are great innovations that ease our daily routine. Let's focus on Personal Computer only, it's because my boss always say that computer is the most stupid creation in this world and make his life difficult.

Let's start with 20 years ago, when personal computer is not common to have, people were using typewriter to compose proposals and business letters. If there were typo errors, they may need to re-type the letter again or correct it by using some correction fluid. What a mess!! Today, Personal Computer with word processor has even a spelling check function.

Emails also play a part in our lives. Writing an email and sending it to the recipients with just a click and the information is just minutes away. Or back to the old age, writing mail using hands and post it thru postal service and the mail will delivered in days (dependent on the distance of you and your recipient).

Without PC, presentations have to be done in the paper, and that causes wastage of paper. Just imagine if all drafts have to be in the papers as well, how many papers will be consumed in a day?

With internet, people can now buy things online with just a click away. And we can even get information thru internet with search engines like google, yahoo and msn. I think without internet, people have to drag him himself to the libraries or book shops to just get information about some particular things. Users can also book flights online by using personal computer and Internet. With PC and Internet, people are able to pay bills online. We need no to go down to the counter and queue for just paying 1 bill.

I think there are still lots of advantages with technologies in our daily livings, but I only focus on some. I may use the whole day to list out all, but not now.. kakakkaa.
