five things I hate about myself

You might hate about yourself about some bad habit that happen in your life, I also got some that make me hate about myself. I am listing out all and get myself improve about my weaknesses. Five things I hate about myself are:

Fat- you may think I want myself to be better looking, but I don’t think this is the main factor. The main reason is I like sports, my big tummy will make me work harder to run and always hard to do some difficult stun.

Snoring- This might be one thing happen when you are fat, you know the impact when you go to some vacation with group of friends, they will kind of mentioned it after a night. This thing happens and makes me seriously shame on it because it might disturbing people when I fall a sleep, I have no choice but always replied with “last night was too tired la, normally don’t have one..”

Too committed to work- this thing been hunted me since first day I started working. I always worry about work even after office hour. Start planning about tomorrow’s schedule and task during night. You might think this is a good habit to maintain, but I don’t think so because this habit causes me sleepless night.

Hot temper- I am a hot temper I know it since I was child and I am trying hard to control It myself. I may get angry because of the non proper handling of projects and not committed to work. I got frustrated if you make me wait for more than 10 minutes of the dated time. I know this is hard, but I still trying to improve myself. My natural born anger face make me look even worst, people always misunderstand that I scold them when I trying to talk serious with them. Sigh~~~

Think too much and worry too much- I always worry about things will happen in future, I always worry about dateline, always remind myself about bills to pay. This bad habit makes me turn old faster, if you see me you will understand my statement.

There are still some that I never list out here but not having major impact of my life. I shortlisted those major factor for improvement. Hope that I can improve it in near future.

Thai Yummy Food this weekend

we've got some very easy-made but yet very tasteful thai food recipes from our fren. they got it from their honeymoon in krabi after taking the cookery package. :D

we are going to have a thai food day this weekend where we're gonna prepare our own tom yam, som tam and the deep fried pandan chicken. and maybe the mango sticky rice as well.

oh, cant wait for weekend! i'm not going to share out the recipe yet, as i'll only post it after saturday. cheers!

Long holiday?

Next week suppose to be a long holiday for my company as production will shut down during Hari Raya. I can take the whole week off and enjoy the long holiday and maybe go for the vacation. But my department left only 2 people working. Me and another girl, she planned to go back to her hometown. So, I need to standby.

“Standby” means that I need to be around my company area, and you can claim over time allowance if they call you for support.
My boss tried to act cute and told me that I can just take leave and if any one call I need to come in for the support. I was like “Hello!!! Then why I need to take leave as I need to standby, better still I just cancel my leave and work like normal.”

With leave applied and I come in to work I only can claim Over time allowance and not even replacement leave. So, I argued with my boss and cancel my leave and that result will keep my leave balance unchanged.

So, there is no long holiday for me next week as I need to work instead of “Standby”.

Found this interesting “Guess the sketch challenge” game on facebook. Hehe.. you can tell from the name rite. This is how it works. A bunch of users join the group. Each of the users get a chance to sketch a word picked randomly by the application. For example: protection. So now please use your creativity to sketch the word out. If it were you, what would you draw? This is where your creativity comes in. I’ve drawn a man holding a shield. Ofcos there are ppl who guessed knight, shield, fighting. But also there are a few ppl who got it. The higher marks the sketcher would get with more ppl guess it correctly.

Red Devils is going to take some beating

I think it time for Red devil to take some beating again as they just successfully signed the long waited striker Berbatov.

Sir Alex Ferguson told United's website: "This is a key signing. Dimitar is one of the best and most exciting strikers in world football.

The transfer saga end by the last day of the transfer market after dragged for a month, I was so nervous about the transfer. At last Man Utd manage to get Berbatov Signature that make Man Utd squad with more striking options. I think most of the Man Utd fans were worried about the deal, because Manchester City was try to bid for Berbatov as well.

£30.75million is quite high amount of money to spend on a striker, but still worth it if Berbatov can help Man Utd to defence BPL champions and bring more trophy back to Old Trafford.

Really can’t wait to see him play for Man Utd. I am looking forward to the match against Liverpool. Hope he will bring some magic to us.

Traffic Jam

Traffic jam has always be an issue to all KL-ians and Selangorians, especially on rainy days.

Sometimes, I just don’t really get it. A small little car accident could cause the whole road to be jammed. Sometimes, there are even no accidents on the road. It just simply has a lot of cards moving very slowly. And once you bypass a certain point, the traffic gets better.

I read a book from Tom Vanderbilts, called Traffic – Why We Drive The Way We Do (And What It Says About Us). Something very interesting that he mentioned was traffic jams are not caused by flaws in road but by flaws in human nature.

Vanderbilt, cites a finding that 12.7 percent of the traffic slowdown after a crash has nothing to do with wreckage blocking lanes; it’s caused by gawkers.

He adds, drivers will slow down to look at anything: “Something as simple as a couch dumped in a roadside ditch can send minor shudders of curiosity through the traffic flow.”
Go get the book and read it over. It might help to ease our traffic a little if everyone reads it. *wink

Enzyme

Enzyme is quite a popular word these days. Everyone seems to be talking about self health conscious, environmental friendly, healthy lifestyle and so on.

A fren of mine has given me a bottle of self made enzyme. It is fruit enzyme, but I am not sure how many types of fruit are in there. I just drop a few drops of enzyme into a 1l bottle of water and started drinking. The water tastes a little sour than usual, but well, it aint too bad.
In the past 2 weeks, I have managed to improve my constipation problem as I am able to do “big business” every day without fail. :D And also I feel more energetic.

Next, I’d make my own enzyme, probably starts with apple or dragon fruit.

Why we blog

Lots of people wondering why I blog, this is something I cannot handle well because my english is bad when come to writing. I know people been comment in my blog about my lousy English. I know you might have good English background, but what is wrong with people who started to learn and blog.

I got one comment and I decided to delete it off, just because that people who comment not dare to leave his/her name. You might be some one who not really doing good in blogging and jealous of people like me can start to blog. Well, I just wanna tell you that I am practicing writing when blogging.

Maybe you never follow my blog from the beginning; my writing is improving from day to day. For anonymous who left comment at my blog the other day, if you managed to find a blogger who has bad English like me? Please give chance to them as we all are learning. By bringing down their blogs, doesn’t make your blog looks good. And you dare to, please leave your name.

I am sick

Damn it as I am sick again, today I take MC and rest at home, the illness started since last night. Maybe it was due the combination of few reasons: haze, stress, not enough sleeps, depressed, and sick of work. kekekkee.

Good to have one day rest and lay at home without do anything since morning; afternoon is going to be busy again. because I need to continue my thesis and started to explore more in programming stuff as I like it very much.

This morning I sent an SMS to my bosses, I work in a very complicated company, as I have 2 bosses. So, in order to take MC I need to send SMS to these 2 people who always called me when I am not around.

In my SMS: I am on MC today, having fever and headache.

Boss 1 Replied: ok
Boss 2 Replied: ok but tomorrow we need to go customer side for meeting, ok?

I was like stun, I am only MC for today and my record is quite clean as I seldom take MC. So, I was thinking of reply: Yeah right, tell me about that. Who know tomorrow I am going to sick again.

But I end up SMS nothing to him, kekekeke.. This is life, we always doing something that not really like and repeats it when necessary.

Why we need system?

Maybe lots of people don’t really understand why we should have a system in the first place, system is to ease management team to review the performance of the actual production and get the clear picture of the production performance, in order to improve the lack in the production.

Here, they treat system like enemy and always ask me to cheat at the data and show the good performance to customer. What a good leader! By showing people on a good data by cheating, means that we no need to do improvement on our own side. And this company until now still not moving is because of this.

With system integrated in company, every process can be monitoring and tracking. It will help management team to improve their area of lacking by refer to the system. Just imagine a company without system integrated in their work space. All are so depending on paper work, when a thing happen, you might need to track back the document from the store that storing 100 boxes of document and you will like don’t know where to start.

So, do realize that system is important to help your work and not to block you from doing work or make your department bad with the bad performance data.

Friends who like to betrayed

People are saying working in same company will come out with some conflict and might betrayed by your own colleague. How this can happen, this happen when come to some situation and both of you having a different view about one particular thing, and it might affect performance of your work, they will choose to betray you. Scary isn’t it?

From my experience I saw lots of example of this thing but I never get it from the past, but unfortunately I got it yesterday. As one of my colleague who I treat like a friend and started the war of infernal affair and betrayed me and get along with some manager to scold me about I refuse to cheat data to show our customer.

This is a mess as I always get into this situation, and now my dear friend, you can just betray me because of I never cheat data for you. So, when you are complaining about the bad leadership showing by our management, please look at yourself first as you are same type with them.

Thesis progressing well

I can see my thesis is progressing from day to day. This is because I am giving myself a lot of pressure and need to finish in this semester to fulfill what my mom wish for. I am out from the daily activities and always reject appointment because I need more time for my thesis.

Great that I can see progress is healthy and aiming to finish by this semester. As my thesis is about PACT analysis, any one has better recommendation about book because I can able to find only at this moment and need to search lots of journal to complete my thesis.

I think I am going to do the project development soon. So, wish me luck la..

Busy reading month

Busy week, busy month and I just want to free my mind and blog for my rest time.I has been busy with my thesis and extremely run out of time for thesis, I rejected lots of appointment and also give up on my lunch to do the reading and make up my thesis. As my thesis is related to PACT analysis, I need to focus on the PACT analysis and detailed activities for PACT analysis,

I already have a brief idea of how to do my thesis and program, but I still need time to do the reading in order to get my literature review full with detail. This month is the month that I read the most in my life. This weekend need to really summarize the detailed and get it into my thesis and submit to my lecturer by next week.

I am going to hack my head this weekend and get the chapter prepared so that I can start my system development by next week. And I plan to use 2 month to finish the system and documentation for my thesis. I know this is tough, but I will work hard for that as I have no time to delay my thesis.

Debate

I think most of us were staying in front of the TV last nite to check out the debate between Anwar and Shabery.

I’m actually glad to c this live debate as it has never happened in our country before. So, I was kinda excited :P

But there was nothing much to “debate” about as some questions were not properly answered.

Some points made were kinda interesting like where have all the saved money (from the decrease of petrol subsidy) go? Millions and billions of $$ have been thrown in to save some government related companies.

I need to focus on my thesis

I think most of people are thinking that I am crazy about why I never give up on my thesis and I still beck my lecturer to help me for the extension in order to have more semester for my thesis. My study period is over as the Maximum period of my Study already over. I need to get the 1 semester extension in order to carry on with my thesis.

I am quite sad about the fact last Friday and Saturday was my birthday as I don’t really enjoy the moment when my lecturer told me that my maximum period of study is over which is five years.

I was struggling with financial problem and I force to defer for some semester as my mom are surfer by some health illness. This also makes me to travel more during weekend.

My friend asks me why I still carry on as this is no way for me to finish if no time, this is some how my mom wishes and I need to make her proud about this. I always dream of making my parents proud of me, so that I can consider my life is complete.

So, busy year will be in front of me as I need to work hard on my thesis. I might not be able to blog so frequent liao. So, sorry about that.

Duck herbal soup & noodle in Pun chun restaurant, Bidor

On the way to Cameron, we dropped by Bidor for our breakfast plus lunch. And we went to the famous duck herbal soup restaurant to taste the best duck soup in bidor town. the place are cowded and they do serve nice food.

We seat down and serve for only duck herbal soup. You can choose for way of noodle serve like soup type or dry type. I chosen dry type as I enjoy it very much.

We sit for around 15 minutes and the “special one” duck drumstick soup been served. It’s very healthy to drink this soup as don’t get it too much, because after you drink you will feel the heat is coming and buring feeling down your throat.

Cameron highland

Saturday was my birthday and I went to Cameron highland and that was my first visit to the highland. I am quite happy with my birthday celebration that arranged by my girl friend. Thank you.

We happen to take off from PJ by 8 am and stop by Bidor for our breakfast plus lunch at around 9:30 AM in Pun Chun Chicken biscuits & restaurant Sdn. Bhd. We stop there to have their most famous ducks herb soup noodles. After the short lunch we continue with my journey to Cameron and reach Cameron at around 1pm where we stop by lots of stop to see some side seeing place which have water fall.

We went to shop for some plants, flowers and vegetable and we prepared steamboat for our dinner after the shopping. And there are some surprise party happen there for my birthday and thank you for all my friends who keep sending me wishes for my birthday. I am very happy with that even I am one year older now.

I think this was a quite existing trip I had at Cameron as this is my first to there. I think I would recommend to my friend in my future and might go to there again by end of the year.

Should I purposely fail in the projects?

Most of the people don’t like to fail in the projects, they try their best to complete the project in time. Get the project done with no error and complete the documentation on time and get the support job done on time. And most of people like to provide good service to company.

I am one of them, basically my job role is more than just System Analysis and I involved in all area of IT properties in my company like hardware repair, server maintenances, end users support, and programming stuff as well, one word “ALL”.

I have another 2 staff that helping me and always gone home on time, I am not complaining about this as I always stay back to clean the entire job they left out. I always give full commitment to my job as I think providing good service will be the good for my reputation and also can let people who work in this company confident with IT Dept.

Last few weeks, I am struggling with new product system enhancement, and I really need to tight up my time and fully focus on my work to finish on time, immediately I though of request for more headcount. I got reject from my manager and told me that I got enough people for all the tasks. I was like stunned when he told me that. I really work hard to finish tasks on time and now, you are telling me that my people are enough for the company.

Ok, if you had been following my blog from the beginning you should know that my boss got no knowledge about IT and always complain to me that IT is stupid.
Now, this question really gets into my mind as should I just fail the projects and get some headcount for my department? Maybe this is a only way to get extra people to help me on the task.

DSLR camera

I always dream about get one digital camera to shoot some nice picture. This is one of my dreams as every time I looking at people who shoot with DSLR camera and posted some nice photo at their web site, then I am thinking of get one as well.

But my friend told me that if you are about to learn how to take nice photo, I should start with normal digital camera. I do have one, but still not really enjoy the beginner features that the camera provided. And thought of that I think it’s time to move on and get a DSLR camera. But base on my budget that I can afford, I think I will look for some cheap DSLR before go for the expensive one.

Currently I am looking at Nikon D40x and any one having this camera, please drop me some feedback on this camera, I wish to know more about this camera and is it worth buying?
