Ikea is having sales and we are going to look for furniture and electrical for my new house, Courts are also having big sales by this weekend. Survey is almost done to get the cheapest buy in town. Ikea will be the station for extra items to get my house looks classy.
So, I need to prepare the checklist for my new house. Light shopping is also needed as I will start house renovation by next week. This is going to be busy week ahead. Tomorrow is pack of activity to attend, and need some extra planning for weekend. Hope I can get some return from the busy weekend.
Any one got idea and info about my buy guide, feedback are welcome in this post.

Virtual Server 2005
I am currently working very closely with virtual server 2005. I am going to install Additional linux server in my Window base server. I think this is going to be very challenging task for me as I only have my R&D server to test with, any error come will infect my development server.
I am going thru the documentation and also article to make this task complete with no mistake. I got some experience with Virtual PC but not Virtual server. Hope it be very similar with virtual PC. So, it will ease my work on setting up the server.

Happy Chap Goh Mei
Many people know that today is consider 15th day from the Chinese New Year, all Chinese will celebrate the last day of Chinese New Year tonight, which we called it Chap Goh Mei. Happy Chap Goh Mei!
After a celebration for long weeks, this should be the end of the Chinese New Year. Today is Chinese valentine day as well. So, singles will go out to the nearer liver or sea and toss tangerines. I think this culture is no more happen in Malaysia as government ban It because it spoiled the city's image and rubbish are seen everywhere after the event.
Really curious about this, any one know it’s actually happen soon tonight, please sending me the detail. I might need to tell my Friends to join them. Kekeke…

We've gotten the keys!!!
Finally we've gotten my house keys after waiting and waiting for months.. but obviously the developer is still about 10 months ahead of schedule :D
It is like a dream comes true.. and you simply stil cant believe it! I took a quick look at it.. will have to do some inspections this weekend.. we've have a "consultant" (our fren, weng) with us.. hehe..
after that, renovation will come into picture.. installing grills, fan and aircond points, kitchen cabinet.. i think these are the main ones that we'll focus in for now.. :)

Email accounts
Just wondering how many account you have for yourself. I think most of the IT users are having the same problem with me as I have more than 5 accounts for myself.
Let’s calculate it from here, 2 Yahoo mail, 1 hotmail account, 2 gmail accounts, 1 company’s email account, 1 UM email account and the last one is my hosted domain email account. Wow!! I am having 8 email accounts to manage. I believe you might have more than mine.
Let make this topic interesting, and you might share out your best tool to manage your email accounts. Basically all my personal account I am tracking using messenger. I am having 3 messenger on the run when I on my PC. Which is windows live messenger, yahoo messenger, and also google talk. These messengers will prompt me a notification when new email coming in. So, I don’t have to check every minute for the new message. I prefer using web base client to read my personal email is because these account are having huge data inside. I don’t really prefer to download to my thumb drive.
For company’s email, I am using outlook as this account only in used when I am in the office. I am using thunderbird for 3 others account gmail, UM account and the hosted domain account. I installed the thunderbird application in my portable drive, so that I can read from any pc with the portable drive plug in.
It’s a hustle for maintain the email account for people like me who have a permanent work and also doing some part time job, as we always face some time shortage in check and reply email. What do you think about maintaining email accounts?

Fantastic Man Utd
Man utd thru to the Quarter final of FA Cup with 4-0 sending Arsenal out from the cup. There are major 4 changes made by both team ahead of champions league fixtures in place soon.
Darren Fletcher shine with opportunity given, Fletcher came in as first team for the FA cup tie with scored 2 goals past Arsenal’s defends. I was waiting for him to scored hat trick for Man utd with some chances almost the end of the match.
Credit should give together to Nani as his performance is simply marvelous. He is controlling the midfield with the stable skills, arsenal’s defenders are failed to catch up with his movement and he delivered some interesting performance for the match.
Really enjoyed the match and I hope they can really pick up for EPL title chase by no losing any points with repeat performance like today.

Portableapps.com
2 years ago, I have been introduced to PortableApps.com by my housemates. Today I decided to post some information about this site and application provided.
What do you mean by portable? It means that application can install at portable device USB flash drive, portable hard drive and use it from any PC by plug it to that PC. Portableapps.com provides lots of application that can play after the portable drive plug in and play.
Types of application provided are games, development related application, audio editor, operating system and so on. It actually provide lots of conveniences to me, Application install in my USB flash drive currently are Notepad++ Portable, XAMPP, GIMP Portable, Mozilla Firefox, Portable Edition, Audacity Portable and 7-Zip Portable.
I will take sometimes in the future to introduce the application in detail. Hope you all will try it out yourself and feedback to me your opinion about Portable application.
Dream Proposal?
I saw a billboard at LDP with some guy proposing to someone name kelly Tan E li. I saw it last few days, but just took that the billboard is from some Diamond company or maybe some designer company.
I saw the news about this billboard, it actually a proposal for marriage from David Tan to his girl Friend.Just refers to the girl’s Opinions, and they are quite in love with this kind of proposal. anyaqq said this is the most romantic thing to do right before St. Valentines Day. Heay said the guy is creative.
In fact, He is not creative. From the Sun’s news, billboard is actually his family business.So, to prompt him with this idea is not hard. And this may cost RM40000 for the proposal. Means that if you have this idea, but you are having an only normal living life with not much extra savings and income. It might just your dream for this. So, means that He is rich to do this.
So, girls don’t compare yours as long as your boy friend is really proposed with his heart of love. Just an advise la.. So, you won't get angry with your boy friend loussy proposal mah.

Malaysia's General Election
Malaysians will vote on March 8 in the next general election. If you happen to register to vote on this coming election, please make yourself available for 8th of March 2008 if you already registered to vote. The Election Commission announced that candidates will be nominated on February 24, which will officially launch a 13-day campaign period before the March 8 vote.
The vote on March 8 will be to elect 222 federal and 505 state legislators. There are 10.9 million registered voters in the country for this election.

IBM Lotus Symphony
IBM is providing some free version of the Office suite call Lotus Symphony.
Lotus Symphony is a set of applications for creating, editing, and sharing word processing documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
The Menus of Lotus Symphony is different with Microsoft Office, but there is no issue to get use to it because it actually fulfills basic system usability. some of the basic features of office is already in place.
This freeware still in the Beta version and it’s free to download the trial version. If you are interested to try new things, just go to the Lotus Symphony download link. Download it and try it yourself.

Keyboard Repaired
Yesterday I was having some problem with my laptop's keyboard. I decided to operate my laptop last night, and try out the keyboard cleaning.
I open up the cover and take out the keypad for cleaning, it actually stuck with some small paper inside, I am not sure how the paper stuck in. I was wondering if I send my laptop to service center yesterday, what will happen to my laptop? It depends on luck, if you meet some one really honest with their customer. This will return with free of charge. If not, maybe they will replace a new one with service charge included.
I am sure you think the same with me. So, please try your best to fix it yourself before send to service center.

Keyboard having Problem
I bought my laptop for more than 2 years, now it giving me some keyboard problem. “H” key is not functioning well, and need to press harder to return the “H” word. Sigh ~~
It maybe because of the key’s spring problem, I am not good in hardware repair, I need some advice on that. Trying to figure out how to solve it myself if not I will send to Service center to repair it. Any one facing the same problem like mine, and can share with me how to repair? If there is any please drop me some feedback. I would prefer DIY and repair it myself.
If send to service center, hope it won’t cost me much for repair.

Bought PDA Phone
As I am searching for a PDA Phone, this can be refer to my post that I am searching for the PDA Phone. Today, I back from my hometown with a PDA phone. The model is Dopod 818.
This is an old version phone, I bought it as second hand phone from my friend’s shop. I think it’s good for me to try second hand phone before go for a better one. Because I am not familiar with PDA phone and it’s quite complicated when come to functionality.
Starting to learn how to play around with this phone and upgrade myself with pocket PC software. It’s quite interesting and it really gets my attention to learn the machine back end and also create some application for my personal use.

Chinese New Year
I am just back from my hometown after Chinese New Year celebration, quite tired with the break and I am still in Chinese New Year mood.
I reached KL this morning and straight away come in to work, today is quite quiet in my office as almost all my colleagues are not back yet. Maybe tomorrow only they will come back to work.
Every year, when come to Chinese New Year I will take this chance to meet up with my hometown friends. But this year is a bit difference, I take my break to talk with my mom and hang up with my family. In fact, my friends are all busy with their own family as well.
As I always mention to my mom that this year is going to be good year ahead. I am looking forward for this coming New Year, and wish you all Happy Chinese New Year.

Facebook addiction
Everyone is keep talking about facebook nowadays, facebook is really different with other social networking site, and hence Facebook is a great example of Web 2.0. It allows users to communicating with each other using lots of method. And there are a lots of application can be add on into your profile and also share out to your friends.
I think I am one of person who addicted to the Facebook uselessly. From day to day, I will open up my facebook account and keep updated with my friend’s activities. It’s true that people said that you can know friends from Facebook very closely but never meet them before.
To be great that I still can control my time for facebook actually, my colleague are actually open up his facebook account from day to night. I even receive some message about not to hit them in some application, this is showing that they treat this so seriously. I am quite ok with all the application as I treat this as a game for me to fill my boring time.
One of the Application I really like is fighters’ club, it allow people to pick a fight with friends and see which side have a huge friends with Street credit point will win the match. It comes with tactic that lots of people take last second jump to beat the opponent. This needs lots of friends stand until last second of the fight and jump in for win the match. This is quite interesting, and I am simply like it.
For new users who just join facebook, please don’t get addicted to FAcebook. As you will find yourself stick to the PC from day to night and fighting for level up for some applications.
So, think before join Facebook. Kekeke…

Microsoft acquire Yahoo
I think this been a rumored since last year, but now it’s going to be reality and Microsoft is going to buy Yahoo. Microsoft has made an unsolicited $44.6 billion bid for Yahoo on Friday, 1-Feb-2008. I got this new from Saturday’s The Star paper. CNN posted it on 1st of Feb 2008.
Microsoft seeking to join forces against Google Inc with acquire of Yahoo. Yahoo has been competing with Google since last few years. This time is going to be hard for Google with the joint technology with Microsoft.
With news showing that Google has run into problems with reported fourth-quarter earnings on Thursday that fell a penny a share short of forecasts and the company also announced a slowdown in its revenue growth.
I think in near future, Google will buy more assets to compete with them.

Wireless broadband
Currently Malaysia only has wireless broadband personal package around klang valley area. And their packages are quite cheap compared to others. I am one of the wireless broadband lovers, because it giving a lots of conveniences for people like me who like plug and play gadgets.
In my pervious Post about Do broadband service speeds impact surfing, I waive out some concern about Internet speed. now I am going to discuss the wireless broadband covered area in Malaysia.
Maxis had achieved some extra milestone and having their wireless broadband into some area of Johor and Penang. Just wondering by when we can have a broadband that covered the whole Malaysia? My hometown is one small village at Kedah. Currently we only have wired broadband. I seldom go back to Kedah and my parents know nothing about technology. I am having difficult when gone back to Pokok Sena which I not able to online and VPN into my company and work for them.
I hope some Telco can really work hard to make my dream come true with wireless broadband that access from any area in Malaysia. So, I will have this broadband in my new house.
