My boss just call me for private meeting, they compile a list for the people who late for last 4 months which mean Nov to Dec 2007. I am in the list as well.
So, he issues me a warning with the management decision as the reason.
I accepted it but did a feedback to him that actually sometimes I worked at midnight if there is any call from Production people. Sometimes I worked from 1AM – 3AM, and I am late to work for just 10 minutes. They also treat me as late comer. I am quite disappointed with the system here. I know late is my problem, but I am not abuse this.
I am consider quite discipline when come to company policies, but this is really one thing that make me crazy when come to punctuality. Because as a supporting team in this company we are work for 24 hours basically and need to on call standby during weekend as well. I think company should set more freedom on start working time if we never abuse it.
This is one of the reasons make me looking forward to a move.

New Year wish
Chinese New Year or Lunar New Year is the most important holiday for Chinese who staying at some where far from their hometown and I am one of them. This will be the important holiday for me as well, and I am going back to celebrate it with my family and hometown friends.
I am working at PJ and my hometown is at a small village located in Kedah, I seldom go back if there is no any long holiday. Yearly is about 5-6 times, my mom can sit down and talk with me but the talking time is not enough to finish a pot of tea. Chinese New year will be the longer holiday for me to chit-chat with my family and friends.
This Chinese New year, I have some mixed feeling. We are still waiting for my mom to recover from her illness. Two days before Chinese New Year will be her last injection for Hepatitis C, recover or not also have to go on with her life. If injection cannot take effect on her virus, she will be live with the Hepatitis C virus. There is no more treatment any more as this is the second time she taking injection.
So, if you ask me what is my New Year wish? There is only one in my mind which wish my mom fully recover from the illness and live happily and I will bring her to travel and experience flight for the first time.

My Laptop
Laptop can be more popular in year 2008, as laptop price as dropping fast and users are considering the conveniences of the moveable personal PC. I am having one as and I upgraded its RAM to 2G at around September 2007
I found out something weird about laptop, laptops usually run on a single main battery or from an external AC/DC adapter which can charge the battery while also supplying power to the computer itself. When I unplug my external AC/DC adapter, the laptop’s performance is lack compared to with AC/DC adapter power. I made another test without AC/DC adapter, and start the Window and perform some hard core task, it take longer time compare to with AC/DC adapter plugged.
I don’t know whether you all facing the same problem with mine. But I tested my friend’s one also facing the same problem, do you laptop have this problem as well??

Microsoft Office
It has been a year after Microsoft launching their new version of Office, but I still can find users who are still stick with the old version in their PC or notebook. Lots of cooperate users are also keen with the old version. Some of my company’s PCs are still using office 2000. Why?
This is because of the memory usage of the application is getting more and more. New version come with more features, this directly will cost the increment of memory usage. Old PC with windows 98 is not suitable with the new version and it has to stick together with the older version of Office. New PC which came with Office 2007 need to convert back to previous version as per request from users with the reason interface is making them sick.
This is what I see from my company. In the other hand, for IT junkies, we need to try every new product that came into our work space. As we need to understand before implementing the version. So, I already get used to the new version. What about you?

Why 23?
My friends who used to ask about my email address, why you put 23 at the back? U created your email when you turned 23? You created your email on 23rd of the month?
I think it’s very hard to guess it correctly why I put 23 at the back. My answer will be very simple: because my name is already taken by the time I choose my email account. Then they will continue to ask “but why 23?” kekeke…
If you are my secondary school friends, you might know why? I used to love basketball, I almost every day went to basketball field and play basketball alone or with my friends from 3PM until 9 PM when I was in secondary school. I was good in basketball as well, and able to reach state level with my hard work and determination.
By my generation, Michael Jordan is the one who impress me the most in basketball. That is why I am putting all my email with number 23. Not to say that I am as good as Jordan, but to put my all time idol in my heart. And once Jordan's skills deteriorated and he left the league for good, then I stopped watching the NBA.

Home status
Back to July when I posted the post finding a place we call home, I and my fiancée already chosen a house and bought it and waiting for the completion of the house. We chosen a condominium for our new house. Basically my house’s construction is already completed , but still waiting for the CF and also house’s Key.
Developer promised us to pass the key by December last year, but it drag to this month and again they fail to commit about the date for the key when we ask them again. Looking at Chinese New year is around the corner, I don’t think they can pass to us by this month. So, we need to wait until after Chinese New year only can get our house key.
Really looking forward to this, and still lots of thing need to be done as house renovation will be taking place in my task list after we got the key. I think still some times to go before we can really enjoy a new life with new environment. Cheers~~~

Slow progress month
Surprisingly this month is going to be my slow progress month for my blogging life. My workload is going to kill me off from blogging. I need to tell my boss that I am going to leave this job because I don't have time to blog more. hehehee.. Just kidding.
I am struggling with the work and now I still in my company to fix some data error that made by end users. As I always mentioned that it’s not easy to be an IT professional in manufacturing environment as users make mistake, you will be the one to solve it on the spot. In return, they will blame the system that limit them from make change of their mistake.
I need to really free my time to start my own things. I don’t even have time to do my Master’s degree thesis, and I have no time to look into the detail about e-business that I plan to start this year, and the worst thing is I don’t even have more time to blog!!
I still haven’t blog about my Bangkok trip. Hai~~~ I need to really work hard for this coming week and compile it out and blog it.

PDA Phone
Currently I am searching for a new mobile phone to replace my old phone which I bought 5 years ago. 5 years ???!!! Yes 5 years ago, the model is Nokia 6800 and still functioning but speaker and keyboard showing some faulty. kakakakaa.. i think most of my friends also get shock when I told them I using my current phone for 5 years.
Previously, I am not very fancy about phone model or phone features, I only need mobile phone to just make calls and receive calls. Maybe some times use it for send some SMS, and sometimes use to access GPRS. This is what i get from my current phone.
But I changed my mind and plan to get a PDA phone, because now I am no more normal mobile phone user. I need a phone can assist me for memorize my appointment, WI-FI enabled will be the top priority for my new phone. I need a phone to capture some picture so that I can blog about it. This should be pat of requirement for my new phone.
This will be my New Year wish, I am going to be fully technology enabled guys after I get my PDA phone.

Internet Age
Internet been important for this decade, don’t be surprise that technology is going to take over every daily activity in this world. I got this from a coffee shop at PJ. They are actually attract people with stated that WI-FI is available in their shop.

Internet is been important for any business. With internet, any one can keep track on the news from every area of the world. And you can even check information from just a click from the notebook. Phone technology also brings in some features to connect to internet.
Recently I am looking for a new phone, in the phone function Wi-fi will be my top list for my new phone. So, I can check my email thru my phone from any where which provides Wi-Fi. Just imagine every small shop in this area is going to provide Wi-Fi and you can access to internet from any area, this will be superb for IT junkies. We will enjoy every moment even dinner.

Gmail Accessable
I got gmail problem this morning, and now I solve the problem with reinstall my Internet Explorer, I have no idea why this can be happen. but when I retrive back my email, it's actually have 150 email pending for my reply and actions.
So, I finally clear up all the pending email and back to normal. Email seem to be very important media for me nowaday. I keep track with my friends and also my facebook notification to my gmail account. Failed to access will cause me failed to catch up with my accounts updates.

Failed to access Gmail
Since morning, I tried so many time to access to my gmail, but still not able to make it thru. I still trying to figure out what is actually went wrong with my account.
Tried to contact my friends, and ask about theirs. They seem like have no problem with their gmail account but abit slow.
Is there any one facing the same with mine, if yes then might solve my problem on the account. If don't I will have to fix myself and get it thru as gmail account is one of my favorite and I always need it to retrive some important email.

WEB 2.0 Applications that I love
I am a big time IT lover, I always explore new technology, new tools, new web site, and now it's time to talk about WEB 2.0 Applications online as WEB is taking over the desktop application as a service and serve users around the world. Some of the applications are my all time favorite, I even dream of develop it my own. Unfortunately my skill and time not allow me to do so.
Wufoo is one of my favorite web 2.0 application, they just won Content Aggregation and Management for 2007 WEB 2.0 awards.
Wufoo allow users to create forms for every survey you’d care to perform. It interface is very user friendly with drag and drop function in place.
docs.google.com one product from internet Giant google, which won Collaborative Writing and Word Processing for 2007 WEB 2.0 awards also one of my favorite application I always hang up with. It allow users to create and collaborate on files of every kind. See who edited on which documents and when. This is a good tool to share documents online as well.
Facebook, Social Networking winner for 2007 WEB 2.0 awards also one of my daily hang up application for today. I am kind of addicted with the poke functions.. Facebook is the biggest thing to hit the social networking sphere since Friendster and MySpace.

Manchester United back on top
Manchester United back on top of the EPL table after trashing Newscatle 6-0 at Old Trafford. this is the moment to rebuild Man utd's team spirit after been struggling from the new year lost to West Ham.
Managerless Magpies were able to hold on for the first half with 0-0, the goal scoring party is up after 49 Minutes of the game with Ronaldo started it with the low Free kick that cheated the wall of Newscatle's soldiers.
With the domination started after the first goal, Man Utd added the score to 6-0 with hat trick from Ronaldo, two from Tevez and one from Rio Ferdinand.
After this match, I hope more to come in the future.

Email to SMS
Back to few years ago, I think I used to send some SMS using Email. Today, I tried it from my company email and also Yahoo email to send SMS to my Maxis Phone. But failed to do that, I think Telco already close it few years back. I am wondering, any other source or software to send Email to SMS. I mean for Malaysia number.
I am doing some application to send notification to SMS. Or maybe can add some mothed to do so, I am in the process of searching for the solution. Please advice me if you have any.

Bangkok trip
I am back from Bangkok and now I manage to free my time to blog about my Bangkok trip from 1 to 6 January 2008.
Our flight took off from LCCT at 7:10AM, we arrived at Bangkok at around 8AM Thailand time, waited for the baggage til 9AM. After we took our baggage, we directly went to the apartment which rented from my friend at Bangkok. We stayed at Phra Ram 9 and it’s quite far from town, but the room is nice and cheap, only 500 THB per night.
First day (1 Jan 2008), we started our journey with local taxi boat, and we visited Wat Saket, Grand Palace, Wat Pho, and also China town.
Second day (2 Jan 2008) was an interesting day for the girls, where we stucked at Pratunum and do shopping for the whole day.
Third day (3 Jan 2008), we started our journey to Koh Samed. Small Island located at Eastern board of Thailand with bus, it took 3 hour plus to reach Koh Samed from Bangkok. Another half an hour by boat to the island itself. We stayed over night there with a beautiful dinner at beach.
Fourth day (4 Jan 2008), we took early bus back to Bangkok. We reached Bangkok at around 12PM. And we had lunch and directly went to the Jersey Street near the National Stadium to buy my lovely Man Utd jerseys. Not original one la, fake one, but grade AA. I bought 1 away and 1 home jersey for only 300 THB each.
Fifth day (5 Jan 2008), the whole day we stucked at Chatuchak for market shopping, and this is the most tiring day for the Thailand trip. Chatuchak is the most famous weekend market at Bangkok, anything as long as you name it, you can get from there. We shopped till 8PM then went for Thai Steamboat for our dinner, and for the final task of this trip we went for Thai traditional massage after dinner.
Sixth day (6 Jan 2008), we took real early flight back to KL at 7:10 AM Thailand time. And this is it, the end of my 2nd trip to BKK!
I'll try to share about the trip later.. lostsa photos to share about.. and some must-not-miss activities.. and my favourites of the trip.. Cheers!!

Heavy Workload
Today is my first day of work for Year 2008, and I am extreamely busy. Just manage to check my personal mail and my blog since morning. Sigh~~
Lots of task is pending for me and I need to clear one by one. Mail box also full of pending email to reply. What a day... I just wondering, if one day I resign from here. who will happen this since my downline do nothing about the task pending. and they can just tell Boss that need to wait until i come back only can do.. In fact, I already tought them how to do some repeat task.
Today is going to be a long day ahead because I have another 2 meeting to attend since it drag from last week. Hope I can survive for the day.. kekekee... :)

Advertlets.com having a domain Issue
This afternoon when I open my blog, it redirect to a advertising site and after I removed the Adverlets.com's ads it resume normal, after back from a long rest, I started to figure out what is the problem. finally I got it from Advertlets.com. They are have domain issue.
When I put back the ads and try it out, It return error again. I think Advertlets still need time to resolve their domain problem. but my blog is back to normal now. This is consider bad 2008 start for Advertlets.com.

Just wondering, do some blogger missed my blog when browsing thru? Or maybe they though that my blog already offline. Sigh~~ but why this happen when I am off to a vacation?
